A Community Built on Caring
The Ronald McDonald House is a facility that provides housing for families of children who are undergoing treatments at local hospitals. The Baltimore location was looking for something to tie together all the components of the house (e.g., brochures, newsletter, and folders) and to differentiate themselves from other Ronald McDonald Houses. The concept was to focus less on the children's illnesses and more on how the house is a home and a community. This was achieved through bold typography emphasizing ownership and the relationship of each component to the home / community. Additionally, the design worked to highlight key members of the community, encompassing both past and present residents, staff members and special supporters.
